Time
I love little pussy
Her coat is so warm
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm
So I'll not pull her tail
Nor drive her away
But pussy and I
Very gently will play
I love little pussy
Her coat is so warm
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm
She'll sit by my side
And I'll give her some food
And pussy will love me
Because I am good
I love little pussy
Her coat is so warm
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm
Her coat is so warm
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm
So I'll not pull her tail
Nor drive her away
But pussy and I
Very gently will play
I love little pussy
Her coat is so warm
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm
She'll sit by my side
And I'll give her some food
And pussy will love me
Because I am good
I love little pussy
Her coat is so warm
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm
The earliest known version of this nursery rhyme is in "The Child's Song Book", published in 1830. It has been attributed to Jane Taylor (1783-1824). Taylor was also the author of the lyrics of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
